I decided to use my lunch break to take my 12 1/2 year old dog to the beach for the first time in her long life. I hope this made her happy.

I have starting writing for a blog that is centered around backpacks, messenger bags, wallets, etc. Pretty much if you use it to carry something, it fits into the focus of the blog.
“At Carryology, we explore better ways to carry.
From backpacks and messengers, to wallets and pocket design, we help you keep the things that are most precious to you close by when you go out to conquer the world. And we can do it all without straps cutting into us, bulk weighing us down, or weirdly placed pockets hiding our keys.
So come join the conversation, and find your best way to carry what you need to traverse the road ahead…”
If this is your thing, give it a look at www.carryology.com.
The main people behind the blog have recently started up a company using their combined knowledge in “carry” to produce wallets. The company is Bellroy and based down in Torquay, Victoria. They focused on making a practical wallet that doesn’t bulk up when cards are placed inside and closed. They currently have 5 different styles available.

Brisbane and Rockhampton show at the end of last week were amazing. Thanks to everyone that came out.
Thursday night was with SXWZD, I Exist and Extortion with us opening. It got off to a good start with Ryan and the sound guy about to have it off. This was actually one of the better set we have played. I drank half a can of Mother right before we played so I was close to vomiting for half the set. Super group SXWZD played next. From Adelaide made up of members from Shotpointblank, Robotosaurus, Jungle Fever, Te Rivalry, Stolen Youth, Snakerun, Infection and A secret death with two drummers and at some points 3 guitars also. If you like drone rock, check them out. Merch Band I Exist followed with their brand of thrashed out heavy rock and doom opening with Roots Bloody Roots. And finally Extortion just ripped everyone apart always.
Friday was the Burst City show with Thick Skin, Vassals, People Rain and Lo! from Sydney. I dont have much to stay about this one as I was on the door all night. But unfortunately this could of been Vassals last show with drummer Francis leaving the band. If you play drums and like Mastodon, Isis, Neurosis and Cult of Luna get at them via there myspace here.
Up early Saturday morning to drive up to Rockhampton for a show at the Cave Bar (Grand Hotel) with Downpour and The Plague. Long drive with some jokes and a stop at Childers. We got in ate food and hung out with our Rockhampton friend before the show. Downpour are fucking great, and I am keen to organise shows for them in Brisbane. We played and during the cover some snafu happened with my gear so I thought I would get involved instead. After the show we partied on in the bar next door until we got kicked out, with chants of peoples name, tallie bottles in fans and other general stupidity. We continued at one of their houses afterwards until some of us decided to go sleep at about 12. We stayed at one of our friend’s parents place, and they are the best. Cooked us a massive feast in the morning and let us occupy floorspace and showers. Left Rocky for the drive home with the stop at Childers again.
Part 1 of tour over, part 2 starts tomorrow night at Newcastle with Safe Hands and Lost Croutons at Hamo Station.
Cheers to everyone that come out to shows to watch us, to Nick, Jackson and “Crumb” Stacey for coming up to Rockhampton, and to the Rocky Crew for partying. BE THE FUCKING WOLF!

To everyone in Canberra I am friend’s with, come hang. I don’t do care with you are taking over the world in your band(s).
No flyer for this show so here is the low down. Marathon, Vera & Jerkstore playing a House Show (hit up one of the profiles for the address). $5 and starts at 6:30pm. This is going to be a house show so don’t show up to be a disrespectful dick.
