Hydro 74 has produce another Darth Vader themed piece.
This was done in conjunction with Ventilate, which has released a series of poster with various artists based around the theme “2000 - What inspired you 10 years ago?”
All the posters in the series are completely free for download at 300dpi via yousendit. Pretty sweet.

For their latest album, Skeletonwitch enlisted that help of artist Andrei Bouzikov to do their artwork. I came across his blog and saw the first two roughs of the design and decided that they were worth posting.
Second week of Thomas Hooper awesomeness.
Limited to 10 prints, 10″x22″. They sold out pretty quick.
His original post is here.
Lastly, I Want Your Skull is taking submissions for issue IX (that’s nine for all you non-roman numeral people). Heaps of amazing artists have been apart of this zine previously, including local Murdoch Stafford.
The theme for this issue is “Rebellion”.
From IWYS -
PLEASE FOLLOW THESE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
1- Entries should be 7″ x 7″ (2100px X 2100px) at 300dpi. Greyscale.
2- Save as a .pdf file.
3- Work can be previously published, as long as it has been reformatted to fit our specs. We will not accept advertisement artwork (ie gig posters, logos, etc) unless it is stripped to the bare artwork. Bonus points for original work for the zine!
4- Please do not include your name, logo, or website on the artwork. Signatures are fine. You will get credit on the page, including your name and web address.
5- Be sure to include your name (the one you want to receive credit as), email address, website and mailing address with your submission.
6- Each contributor featured in the book will receive (1) copy of the zine mailed to them on my dime and will be able to buy additional copies at a wholesale rate.
7- Email to – eyewantyourskull@gmail.com
8- Skulls and/or skeletal structure must be the dominate theme in the piece.
9- DEADLINE IS MARCH 31, 2010
10- You can send up to 2 submissions, as long as they are included in the same email. Do not send multiple emails. It’s too hard to keep track of everything coming in.
They look for a wide range of images, not just drawings and illustrations. Photos, print, sculpture, painting, maybe even 3D rendering. Just make sure it involves a skull and revolves around theme of rebellion.

Tym Guitars has started a blog.
For those who don’t know about Tym Guitars. It is a shop based in Brisbane that specializes in vintage and rare guitars as well as amp heads, speaker cabs and effects. Basically, if it is guitar related you should be able to find it at Tym’s in one form or another. As well as the above mentioned products, the Tym name is also being used to create high quality hand made guitars, amp heads, speaker boxes and effects right here in Brisbane in his workshop.
Hopefully the blog will be regularly updated with some of the goings-on at the workshop in regards to new Tym products and with also what the retail shop is stocking.
Currently awaiting this to be available. Tym Guitars Big Bottom v.II.
I just found this also. There is even a Wikipedia page for Tym Guitars.

Firstly, I hate festivals. I hate being surrounded by 30,000 assholes who I don’t know, I hate over priced deep fried food and I hate shit bands. Soundwave was no exception. But in all of the shitness, I still had a great time for my first festival since probably 2002.

Thomas Hooper took this photo a few days ago and posted it on his blog. I quickly rotated it sideways and made it my new desktop at work. It replaced this.
Hi-res version here.
As a side note, Hooper has also started a daily project of abstract work.
His aim - “Each study is produced as a form of unplanned automatic expression centering around what i feel in the last minutes of every day”.
