  • Building #1 - Vassals

I have started to learn about paths and vectors in Photoshop recently and it has completely opened my eyes into some of the abilities of the program I had no idea about. I feel like my life just got easier by knowing how to used these tools but I also feel I have a lot [...]

  • Advice

I came across Jacob Bannon’s site the other after trying to find an online portfolio of his art and illustration. I thought I would repost something I read on there as I think it’s relevant to me at the moment.
“Learn to be poor yet dedicated, forever. Step away from the computer every chance you can [...]

  • Sunday Skulls - 21st of March 2010

Florian threw this up the other day. It’s a comparison between his sketch design and final print design of his Hagakure III print. Interesting to see the work behind the work.

  • Something New

A preview of something I have been putting a few hours into of late. I’ve learned some new skills and I am quite please with how it is coming along. First time I have attempted something like this.

  • Broken Crow

Broken Crow is the work of stencil artists John Grider and Michael Fitzsimmons who recently went to Austin, Texas to spray some walls with “larger-than-larger-than-life” stencils. It is pretty incredible.
Whilst working, they filmed the creation of one of the bigger pieces as a time lapse. The scale of this piece “Lion Man” is ridiculous.

How come whenever I decide to stop doing something or at least calm down doing it, something rad will come up and tempt me.

  • Sunday Skulls - 7th of March 2010

This is a few weeks old now, but I don’t care.
Faith No More with Eagles of Death Metal show poster for a pre-Soundwave show in Auckland and part of Faith No More’s “The Second Coming” Tour. Probably would of been a sweet show. Poster was a collaboration between Brian Ewing and Buff Monster.

  • Florian Blog

Artist Florian Bertmer has finally started a blog to show some of his work.
Florian is the artist behind the Hagakure print series (I, II, III), Converge “Lonewolves” print, some Doomriders designs, Agoraphobic Nosebleed designs, and a heap more. Definitely one of my favorite modern artists.
