I was saving this for a when I received my “gold” but I am getting sick of looking at it sitting there in pending.

On March 18th, I noticed this little message on the Chrome Bags facebook page.

“Hey Everyone! We’re doing a “Turds For Gold” Shoe Exchange and, starting RIGHT NOW, we’re sending a FREE PAIR OF CHROME SHOES to anyone that sends us a crappy, worn-out pair of kicks. The exchange is two days ONLY and packages MUST be postmarked by 3/18 to qualifiy. In your shipment, please include a return shipping address and shoe size info.”

After a few questions, I found out that they were going to be sending out the Kursk model shoes. Pretty much a low cut Converse Chuck Taylor design.

I jumped at the opportunity to get a rid of one pair of old, shitty, stinky shoes in exchange for a new, fresh untainted pair of shoes. I have actually been after a pair of these shoes for a little while now to try out, so this worked out well for me.

Only seeing this the morning of the date everything needed to be post marked by, I arranged to get some of my old sneakers from home, wrap them up and post them off to the states for some poor bastard who would have the displeasure of opening the package to be hit be the odor.

They may not look that bad, but they were fucking horrible to wear due the wear on the sole and heel.
