  • Sunday Skulls - 21st of March 2010

Florian threw this up the other day. It’s a comparison between his sketch design and final print design of his Hagakure III print. Interesting to see the work behind the work.

  • Saturday, 27th & Sunday, 28th of March 2010

First show in Melbourne for Marathon on the Saturday. All ages. I think this is going to be running a strict schedule of 5-9. Don’t be late.

Second show on the Sunday is a jam room show or something. I am a little confused with the details but hey, fucking punk rock.

  • Friday, 26th of March 2010

Marathon is heading south for a weekend for two shows, one in Canberra and two in Melbourne.
    This is the Canberra show.
Afterwards we will probably be driving down to Melbourne. Fuck yeah road tirp.

  • Running Low

Lately I have been available to find something or do something interesting to post about but inspiration, ideas and time are running low. I have a few things in the works that I am not ready to post yet, but hopefully soon.
I did finish reading this the other day though.
Good read but the second [...]

  • Something New

A preview of something I have been putting a few hours into of late. I’ve learned some new skills and I am quite please with how it is coming along. First time I have attempted something like this.

  • Ghost Town - Calamities (Review)

Finally seeing the light of day is Ghost Town’s long awaited follow up to their EP “The Way the World Ends” and first full length “Calamities”. Good title considering it took so long to get out (I joke).
Being released on Dead Souls Records, Ghost Town are probably doing and achieving what so many other bands [...]

  • Broken Crow

Broken Crow is the work of stencil artists John Grider and Michael Fitzsimmons who recently went to Austin, Texas to spray some walls with “larger-than-larger-than-life” stencils. It is pretty incredible.
Whilst working, they filmed the creation of one of the bigger pieces as a time lapse. The scale of this piece “Lion Man” is ridiculous.

    Broken [...]

NYC Tattooist Chris O’Donnell has released a new set of flash which is available through Tattoo Elite International. Nice looking designs.

I don’t know how I feel about this. It’s leaning to the “dislike” side of things I feel.

  • New All Ages Venue for Brisbane

Will has been putting on punk hardcore shows on in Brisbane for sometime now. He not only has started a blog to help promote his shows (slightly legitimatising himself), he has also organised a new venue in Brisbane for underage shows. Friday the 26th of March will see the launch of “Burst City”. 69 Grey [...]

  • Friday the 19th & Saturday the 20th of March, 2010

Marathon is playing two shows with I Exist from Canberra. One at Shed 5 down the Gold Coast, the other at Browning Street Studios in West End, Brisbane. Come hang out before Converge, which is just around the corner.
Gold Coast is I Exist, Phantoms, Marathon and Shortlife.
Brisbane is I Exist, Phantoms, Marathon and Sentiments.
    Boom.
    I have [...]
