Final
This Saturday will be my last show with Apex Null. After being in the band for 2 years (replacing original bassist Sam) I have decide to leave do to personal reasons with no ill intent.
Over the past 2 years, I have watched the band progress with songs, structure and ability. With that, my ability as a bass player as grown. When I joined, I felt like I was getting in over my head a little trying to keep up with speed and technicality of the music at times. As time went on I become more confident and my skill level slowly rose to be at a high enough standard that I felt comfortable playing their existing songs.
During song writing, I started to push myself more creativity and trying to think outside the box in regards to my playing. Since then I can easily say my time in Apex Null has made me a stronger more confident bassist, but I still have a long way to go.
This is also the first time I have quit a band before the band has actually broken up. It feels weird.
I wish the rest of the guys all the best in continuing on with Apex Null and finding a new bass player.
